Zoom Video Conferencing

Our employees work remotely; we use Zoom for chats and and video meetings every day.  Zoom’s website is the best resource for things like downloads, video tutorials and technical support, but hopefully some of the insights we’ve gained from using this software regularly can help you navigate zoom both with us and elsewhere.

Joining a Zoom Meeting

You will need: a device with phone or internet access and a mic and speakers, and your meeting ID#.

We will provide a meeting ID# when we confirm your appointment. If you are having trouble connecting with us at the time of your session, please email us at admin@kardiagroup.com (or contact your coach directly) for assistance.

Here are some ways to join a meeting:

Zoom App

From the home tab of the app, click Join and enter your meeting ID#

URL

Use provided meeting link or go to https://zoom.us/join and enter your meeting ID#

Phone

Dial the number provided in your invite, and enter your meeting ID# when prompted

Things to consider before you join a meeting

Technology

  • Do you have a good internet connection?
  • If you are using an external mic or speakers/headset, have you tested them?

Environment

  • Is there anything overly distracting behind you?
  • Do you have unofficial office mates (children, dogs, etc.) who may need to be kept at bay?

Screen Sharing

The green “Share Screen” button allows you to share your entire screen (or secondary screen if applicable) or a particular app you have open.

Sharing a Video

Take these extra steps to ensure best possible video and audio quality when sharing a video:

  1. Make the video full screen
  2. Click share screen
  3. At the bottom of the pop-up, check the boxes for “share computer sound” and “optimize screen sharing for video clip”
  4. Select the video to share it (rather than an entire screen)
