What is Short Coaching?

The short answer? Short coaching provides a concentrated opportunity to work with an expert in academia, leadership, and professional development.

Faculty, administrators, and staff may engage in this type of coaching for several purposes. They may, for example, want a bite-sized customized experience to illuminate choices and strategies in a fast-paced career.  They may also use it as an opportunity to experience coaching, and/or to determine if a particular coach is a good fit.

Development-Focused Short Coaching

These plans use online assessments to focus our conversation. Coaching occurs through three video conference or phone sessions aimed at understanding assessment results and putting them to use. Results help guide the discussion regarding the strengths and areas for development that are reflected in the assessment. Sometimes the results themselves spur skill development goals; often the results inspire questions about perceptions, style, and skill efficacy that then generate strategic as well as skill development growth.
